Consulting Terms of Service

1. Services Overview

Brian Coords (“Consultant”) provides WordPress Block Editor consulting services (“Services”) to clients, including but not limited to technical guidance, code review, development advice, and strategic planning related to WordPress Block Editor, Full Site Editing, and related technologies.

2. Service Packages and Payment

The Consultant offers various service packages as outlined on the website. Payment is required in advance of service delivery. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change, but changes will not affect already-purchased services.

3. Scheduling and Cancellation

Consulting sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice at no additional charge. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice will result in forfeiture of the session fee.

4. Session Recording and Confidentiality

All consulting sessions are recorded for client reference. Recordings are provided to the client for their internal use only. The Consultant will maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary information shared during sessions. Clients agree not to share, distribute, or publish session recordings without written permission.

5. Intellectual Property

Any code, documentation, or other materials created by the client during consulting sessions remains the property of the client. The Consultant retains ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property, methodologies, or tools shared during sessions. General concepts, ideas, and techniques discussed may be used by the Consultant in other consulting engagements.

6. Service Delivery and Client Responsibilities

The Consultant will provide services remotely via Google Meet. Clients are responsible for:

  • Maintaining necessary access to their development environment
  • Providing relevant documentation and access credentials when needed
  • Ensuring adequate internet connectivity for video calls
  • Following recommended preparation steps provided before sessions

7. Limitation of Liability

The Consultant provides technical guidance and best practices but does not guarantee specific outcomes. The Consultant is not responsible for:

  • Implementation of advice or recommendations
  • Client’s final business decisions
  • Technical issues outside of the Consultant’s control
  • Consequential damages arising from the use of provided guidance

Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific consulting session or package.

8. Communication and Support

Between scheduled sessions, reasonable email follow-up questions are welcomed and will be answered within 2 business days. Extensive support needs outside of scheduled sessions may require additional consulting time.

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

Services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. The Consultant does not guarantee that guidance will be error-free or that implementation of recommendations will achieve specific business results.

10. Term and Termination

These terms remain in effect for the duration of the consulting engagement. Either party may terminate the relationship with written notice. Pre-paid sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated periodically. Clients will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
