WP Tavern and Livestreams

Hey all,

Just wanted to send out a quick note on a few exciting things.

Catch me at the WP Tavern

For the next two weeks, I’ll be contributing regularly to the WP Tavern. It’s all part of Matt Mullenweg’s devious Hunger Games to find contributors/editors for the venerable WordPress news site.

Check out my first post: The Block Bindings API Brings Dynamic Data to Blocks. If the topic interested you, I did a recent livestream on it as well: ACF & Block Bindings API (WordPress 6.5 Beta Preview).

I’m drafting up a few more posts while I still have admin access, and I’m hoping you’ll follow along and hangout with me in the comments.

Aurooba’s Free JS Essentials Course

Speaking of livestreams, I had another livestream to chat with my friend Aurooba Ahmed about her free JavaScript Essentials for WordPress Devs course. I really recommend you sign up if you’re even a little bit confused by all the modern JavaScript coming into WordPress these days. She taught me everything I know about modern WordPress JavaScript- and I’m not exaggerating when I say that.

Upcoming Livestream with Jamie Marsland (Pootlepress)

And because livestreams are all the rage, I have one more to announce. I’ll be chatting with Jamie Marsland about our WordPress wishlist: all the changes we’d like to see to make the editor more user friendly. This Wednesday, March 6th, at 12pm PST / 8pm GMT.

How to fix gutenberg youtube thumbnail. Shows Jamie and myself and includes the date and time.
I feel like I’m making the Tucker Carlson confused face here???

Be sure to visit the stream ahead of time and hit the option to be notified when we go live.

No other links?

Normally I would be adding a bunch of links to other things I found interesting, but as you can guess I’m a little swamped this week. Hopefully this storm of content creation will pass.

See you on YouTube or in the WP Tavern comments this week!
